Season’s Greetings and a short break for the Torn Identity Blog

Season's Greetings

Season’s Greetings!

This blog will take a short break over the festive period, returning in January for more on legal identity, belonging, citizenship and statelessness.

For those celebrating Christmas and New Year this month – enjoy the holidays.

If, like me, you are travelling this holiday season – for pleasure or to join friends and family – spare a thought for those who are undocumented, those who are stateless and those who are denied the opportunity to take that journey, to take a break from daily life, or to join friends and family in distant corners of the world.

Let us renew our commitment in 2020 to increase the number of people with legal identity and to reduce statelessness and mitigate its damaging effects.

With warmest wishes,

Jo, The Torn Identity

Hi Jo, I am keen to reproduce your article on stateless children in Sabah.

We run some 12 ALCs in Sabah for these undocumented children.

      Hi Dharma,

Thank you very much for getting in touch. I would be happy for you to reproduce my article (with credit) if it would help share the plight of so many undocumented children in Sabah. I continue to keep an eye on developments in the region and hope that there is a longer term resolution soon.
